Thanks to a magical potion, Felicity will finally see what the heart has known all along: true love was never far away.
CHAPTER 1
Felicity watched from the window. She loved this time of year; the air was fresh and full of love. The avenue led to the main street, which was now lit by thousands of Christmas lights.
All along the way, the trees were decorated
with glittering garlands of lights and colorful baubles, with a predominance of
white, red, and green, creating a magical and joyful atmosphere.
From the windows of the houses you could see handmade Christmas decorations, such as bright stars, colorful candles, angels in flight and little Santas, which gave the houses a touch of personality and originality.
Felicity
felt like she was in a real Christmas village, with people happily walking by
with packages. It was her favorite time of the year. She enjoyed feeling the
first chill on her skin, cooking soups with seasonal vegetables, and putting on
her first sweaters to keep warm from the air that was beginning to feel cooler.
Unfortunately,
she was there because her beloved grandmother had died and she could not miss
her funeral.
Looking
at the streets and shops, he had to admit that this small town had changed .
Some new facades of international brands had replaced small local shops The car with the driver was now on the main road, and
she could see that her favorite store, "Norma's Cafeteria," with its
red sign, was there. As she walked past it, she was reminded of when she used
to go there every Sunday as a child to enjoy her chocolate and cream, and then,
as she got older, she used to go there with her friends on those cold afternoons
when people wanted to get together.
Norma, the owner of the café, was always
waiting for them with her unfailing, loving smile. Norma knew them all by name
and had seen them born and raised. These girls, now teenagers, came to her.
Norma
was a woman who had lived through many painful situations in her life, such as
World War II. Sometimes she said this
even though she was very small. She
still remembered the sound of the sirens and how she ran into the cellar to
hide from the German bombing. She was a woman with a great personality, with an
intelligent and sharp look, her hair was now silver, which she kept in a big
bun, she loved to wear many stone necklaces of a thousand colors.. around her neck and wore wide, colorful dresses. She
always wore her ubiquitous red-rimmed glasses, which were attached to a
colorful chain around her neck.
